Designed for a growing family with a deep connection to the Balnarring community, this renovation and extension reimagined their existing home while preserving everything they loved about it. Rather than relocating, the family chose to invest in creating a home that better supports their evolving lifestyle, adding space, functionality and a stronger connection to the outdoors.
The project includes a generous new living, kitchen and dining area, a private master suite with a walk-in robe and ensuite, a dedicated study, and the renovation of the existing bathroom and laundry. A striking glass link hallway seamlessly connects the original home with the new extension, creating a light-filled transition between old and new.
Inspired by the homeowner's commitment to sustainability and timeless design, the interiors combine natural materials with carefully considered finishes. Warm cork flooring flows throughout the home, complemented by a rich navy kitchen with a porcelain benchtop, while recycled timber and restored furnishings add character and celebrate the home's connection to its surroundings. The result is a home that is both contemporary and welcoming, proving that sustainable living can be beautiful, practical and enduring.
